My approach to photography is all about capturing the real, authentic moments.

We take thousands of images on our phones each year, but to invest in professional photographs is worth every penny. Why? Photographs are often the physical memory that families hold on to and pass down over generations. For your personal brand, a first impression can be the make-or-break moment with your potential clients. Imagery matters.

My aim is to provide you with an experience you can look forward to year after year, complete with beautiful images for your home or to elevate your personal brand.

Frequently asked questions
How would you describe your photography style?
My approach is photojournalistic in nature. What does that mean? My goal is to capture you authentically interacting with your loved ones. The 'posed' images are a must, but the 'in-between' moments are the best. I try to shoot in an artistically thoughtful way - capturing moments that can be printed and hung together in a collection or stand out as a focal point.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel great. Wanting that 'Pinterest-perfect' look can be stressful - if you never wear whimsy dresses and are more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of person - go for the jeans. Keep in mind the natural setting we are shooting in and opt for neutrals or pops of colour that contrast with the natural landscape. If you can, avoid large logos or loud graphics as these can be distracting in a group setting.
What time of day should our session take place?
For family sessions, that beautiful 'golden hour' usually takes place around 60-90 minutes before sunset. This varies depending on the time of year. As a mama of young ones, I get that this can be a terrible time of day. I promise though, if you plan ahead (e.g., early meals, snacks on the go, possibly a bribe or two, etc.) it's worth shifting bedtime routines. That said, I am flexible and will work with what is best for your family.
What kind of experience can we expect?
Fun and easygoing! Let's face it, most people are uncomfortable in front of the camera. I'll always provide some guidance until we get into a groove - then it's all you. Focus on connecting with each other and the images will be magic, I promise. If the kids are a hot mess, honestly, it's ok. Rather than stressing about grass-stained knees and messy hair, let's work towards genuine giggles, playing games and upside-down hugs.
